Rebecca Gaynier is presenting iTwixie - billed as a clean social network for tween girls (ages 8-14 years old).

The pitch is a good one – girls in the tween ages don’t like what the little kids do (Club Penguin, WebKinz), but aren’t quite ready for the older girl sites, even though they are targeted at tween girls. Most older girl social networks are too racey, demanding that girls grow up too fast.
Biggest tough question to answer: Is there room for another social network; is this a niche that can be a big company? We’ll find out – the site just went live 30 minutes ago, so get your tween girls to signup! My oldest, Emily, will be plugging away at it tonight…
