Next up is John Carman (and his co-founder, Scott Connolly) talking about their startup, Ajax Street, and their first product, exactbrand (you can find more information at their blog post here).

Still in the early stages of development, the basic idea behind their company is to develop technologies to make consistent branding more effective and efficient. Their first product targets web content and getting that content easily from its online incarnation into a print version. Users can easily extract consistent text, font, colors, and designs from their website down to paper-based marketing materials, much easier than it is done today.
John has relevant experience, having managed several marketing efforts that involved extracting brand content online and repurposing it for print materials; he knows the pain points that need to be solved. How big can this be? I don’t know.

AJAX Street has really benefited from the AlphaLab experience since Scott told us they might not have even launched it without AL’s support (http://startuppittsburgh.com/2009/04/ajax-street-interview/).
Also, I really like the new look for the blog, Alan. Very slick with the RSS, twitter, and digg integration.
Thanks for the comments, Jia – all the credit goes to Aaron, as he has had his head deep into CSS for the last two weeks…
