The good folks over at Project Olympus, where I am an advisor, have asked me to post about a very interesting aspect of the work they are doing: matching potential CEO candidates with faculty/research students who have promising research projects or technologies that are ready to be spun-out into nascent businesses.

They are going to organize an open house later this spring to facilitate the introductions – watch for more details to come soon. In my next several posts I am going to highlight some of the companies that will be at the open house, and are looking for CEOs. If you have an interest in any of these companies, or seeing some of the interesting technologies and founders at the open house, please let me know.
Please keep in mind we are looking for potential CEOs. This is a difficult skill set, and I ask you to be introspective before forwarding your name to me.
We want to create an atmosphere for the match to happen, rather than the match-making itself. We know from experience that trust needs to be built and the relationship between the business and technical side needs time and focus to mature. That is the relationship we are looking to start.
