Check out WEBCARZZ (updated)

UPDATE:  The Webcarzz beta is now available for you to try out!  From the team:

I wanted to let you know that you can post the link to http://beta.webcarzz.com on your blog anytime you’d like now. Mind you, the game has not reached any sort of critical mass and requires additional players online while you’re playing to provide the proper effect. For example, racing is a multiplayer activity. We’ve implemented a guest play mode in which players can have access, except that chat is disabled and your progress/car changes/points are not saved.

Please feel free to check it out!

Feedback welcomed.

Webcarzz looks like it will be fun. I used the beta invite and created a webcar that I’m pretty sure is the ultimate speed machine…. but I can’t figure out how to make it run. Is the “carstructor” the only part of the site that is live, or am I missing something?

Matt – glad to hear you are racing… although from the results of our closed beta with a huge group from our demographic (boys 6-12), I think you will face some stiff competition.

The guest beta site is organized a little bit differently than the production versions I have seen thus far – so it is a little non-intuitive – but if you go to the “Navigate” button the bottom panel, it looks like you have ~5 cities to choose from (select a city, and then press the “GO” button), all with different designs and features to them. I am in “TORCH” right now if you want to race…
